TIP OFF | Art Exhibition by Cai Guo Qiang : Head On
In this exhibition, Chinese-born contemporary artist Cai Guo-Qiang will showcase his work consisting of 3 parts:
An installation “Head On”, where replicas of 99 life-sized wolves, fabricated from painted sheepskins, hay and metal wires with eyes made of marbles, collide one after another into a glass/invisible wall;
“Illusion II”, a two-channel video installation that explores the contradiction between beauty and violence;
and “Vortex”, a gunpowder drawing resembling the image of hundreds of thousands of wolves chasing one another in a circular motion.
Exhibition runs till 31 August 2010 National Museum of Singapore, Exhibition Gallery 2, Basement. 10am to 6pm daily. Admission is Free!
